BFB #1: The Bossier Website Just Got Better

by Michele Dale

Hi bossy people! Well, all 3 of you that I’m assuming are reading this. Happy first full week of school, I hope everything’s going well.

I’d like to welcome you to what is sure to become the best part of your week – the Bossier Founders; Blog, or BFB for short. Is that a horrible name? Kinda. We’re working on it! Be nice.

Every Thursday Tiffany and I are going to switch off posting something up on our site that we saw or were thinking about in the past week. This Thursday, the 14th, will be the first real day of our posting.

I’d like to give you an idea of what to expect (an inside scoop on the mag, our friendships, what we’re passionate about?) but I have no idea what will come out once we sit down to write. Sometimes it might be an essay, sometimes a playlist, sometimes a poem, who knows! We’re going to see where it takes us.

Why are we doing this, you ask? Many reasons, we answer! One of my favorite parts of Bossier is the community aspect and I hope that through our posts, you can get to know us and feel like you might be able to relate. We also want to revamp our online presence so in addition to our posts on Thursdays, the editors will be sharing their work every Tuesday, starting tomorrow. We realized that we have so many ideas and so much creative energy that we want to access more often. What’s even better is we actually have a platform to share it on, so why not use it!

This first post is kind of a cop-out because it’s just the introduction but I am sure we’re going to get into tons of exciting, relatable, and intriguing topics this semester. It’s a particularly odd semester for me filled with high highs and low lows. I’m working and taking 4 classes, going through some personal transitions (who isn’t), and fulfilling my life-long dream of living with my best friends while running a magazine I love. I can think of no better time to get serious about writing it all down.

So buckle up, it’s about to be a crazy time. And if you don’t want to, that’s fine too. This one’s really for me.
